Neil Visalvanich, Ph.D.  Durham University.

I am an Associate Professor in the School of Government and International Affairs at Durham University, United Kingdom. At Durham University, I am an associate of the Centre for Institutions and Political Behaviour.  In July 2014, I graduated with my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.  Here is a link to my webpage at Durham.

The core of my research agenda focuses on the race and ethnicity in comparative and American politics. Specifically, I examine the relationship between information and race in the evaluation of minority candidates. My research also explores the politics of Congressional elections, as well as the effect of political polarization on elections and political behavior. More recently, my research agenda has expanded to examining the quality of representation of minority groups by their elected representatives and how political rhetoric affects public opinion of migrant groups in the United Kingdom. At the top of the page are links to my published research, working papers currently under review, teaching syllabi, my CV, and co-author webpages.
